Colorado probate misconception #11: Once the judge appoints you as personal representative, you can pay all bills from the probate estate checking account whenever you want. Not so. Certain creditors have priority over other creditors. Pay the wrong one at the wrong time, and you may be writing a check from your personal funds to correct your error.
